Author Guidelines

1. General drafting guidelines
The citation system is based on the current version of APA (7th edition).
In general, the journal uses the regulations of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language for proofreading and style correction. Collaborators are kindly requested to take these rules into account.
Commas and not periods or white space will be used to separate hundreds of units of a thousand in numbers. Thus: "5,000 pesos" and not "5,000 pesos" or "5,000 pesos."
2. Extension and basic format
Including notes, appendices, footnotes and a list of bibliographic references, the articles within the sections "Articles within dossier", "Free articles" and "Bibliographic essays" must have a minimum of 40,000 and a maximum of 50,000 characters without spaces. . For "Notes and Fonts", a maximum of 20,000 characters without space is defined.
Eventually, articles of a smaller or greater length will be accepted, under the decision of the editor.
The sections into which the text is divided (Introduction, conclusions, references, etc.) must be written in bold style, small capitals and without a full stop. It is recommended not to include subsections.
Although it is not essential, it is appreciated that the authors configure the text under the following stylistic parameters: Times New Roman font, 12 point size, 1.5 line spacing, 2.5 margins on each of the four sides.
3. Abbreviations
The following abbreviations are recommended: ca. for circa; F. for folio, page (ff. plural version).

4. Complementary information (metadata)

The name of the authors must be included, including institutional affiliation (at least two hierarchical levels: center - department).
Authors must include an identification system (ORCID, Research ID).

Along with the submission of the body, a summary must be included, which should not exceed 150 words. It is requested that the term "Summary" be written in bold and small capitals without a colon. Below this word, the abstract.
A maximum of five keywords should be inserted below the abstract. These will be written in italics without a period, and preceded on the same line by "Keywords" in bold, small caps and a colon.
Below the abstract and keywords, you must add a title, an abstract, and five keywords, which are the English version of the title, abstract, and keywords. Stylistic guidelines for the abstract and keywords should be followed.

5. First and secondary references in the text
Allpanchis opts for the parenthetical citation system for bibliographic references.
This system dispenses with the indications ibidem, idem, loc. cit., op. cit. and the like. Every time a text is cited, it is necessary to rewrite the complete information in parentheses, even if it is repeated immediately.
References to a text taken from another source will be made as follows. After the textual citation or the reference, the last name of the author, the year of publication of the cited material and, finally, the number of the page (s) on which the document is found is placed in parentheses. Original text. The format to present the reference is as follows (without the quotation marks): "(Porras Barrenechea, 1990, pp. 14-21)" or "(Porras Barrenechea, 1990, p. 14)". Note that a comma has been inserted between the author's surnames and the year of publication.
When you want to cite several authors on the same occasion, it must be separated by a semicolon, and not by a comma. Thus (without quotes): «(Otte, 1993; Fernández Alcaide, 2009)» and not «(Otte, 1993, Fernández Alcaide, 2009)».
If two works by the same author are used in a quotation, commas will be used to separate the years. In this way: (Quispe, 1990, 1991; Ramírez, 2000).
When the citation is from a reprinted work, it will only be placed in the last year. Thus, it is accepted (Acosta, 1987) and not (Acosta, 1987 [1588]). More detailed information will appear in the reference list on the original date.
When the work to be cited has volumes, proceed as follows: (Arona, 1974, I, p. 157) and not (Arona, 1974, volume I: p. 157).
To cite archival documents, these should be in a footnote. For the first reference, the exact reference of the institution and the fund and file will be included. In the first citation, the abbreviation will be included in square brackets. For example, for the first quote (without quotation marks): «Archivo General de Indias [AGI], Cuzco, 4». For subsequent citations (without quotation marks): «AGI, Lima, 1147».

6. Verbatim quotes
The correct way to quote a text verbatim is to enclose it in quotation marks. Do not use italics for this.
Use Latin quotation marks («») and not English quotation marks (""). Only if you need to enclose a text within a quotation should you use double quotation marks ("").
If out-of-text quotations do not follow a period, they must be preceded by three ellipsis enclosed in square brackets: "[…] text". The same must be done if they do not end with a period: "Text [...]", or if text is deleted within the quotation: "Text [...] text" or "Text [...]. Text". For verbatim citations within a paragraph, it is not necessary to use brackets either at the beginning or at the end of the quotation.
When transcribing a text, do not convert a capital letter to a lowercase or vice versa. The academic standard requires citing the text as it appears in the original. Even original errors should be immediately marked with the following indication (without quotation marks): "(sic)".
Quotes that exceed the four typed lines must go, without quotation marks, outside the body of the text, in a separate paragraph. This paragraph must be double indented, in round type (that is, without italics), without indentation in the first line and with a font size Times New Roman size 11. The right margin must be aligned to the normal paragraphs. The bibliographic reference will go in a footnote.
Citations in the English language should not be translated into Spanish. Those made in another language must be accompanied by the respective translation into Spanish, indicating the person responsible for the translation.

7. Footnotes
The notes must be numbered consecutively and located at the request of each page.
Note calls must be in superscripts.
Calls should be placed immediately after the punctuation mark, whatever it is. For instance:
.2
text (text), 2
text: 2
text —text — 2
Footnotes will also be used for clarifications and comments you need to make on your own text.

8. List of references
At the end of the text, a list of the archival and bibliographic sources used must be presented. Make sure that all the fonts used are listed in this section, which will be titled References (in capitals and bold) and without a full stop.
This section from the title goes in a smaller font size (11) than the rest of the body.
Depending on the case, it can be divided between "Primary sources" and "Secondary sources".
When a reference has more than two printing or publishing cities, these will be separated between a semicolon.
The name of the city of the publisher must be written in Spanish, when pertinent (London, and not London; Cologne, and not Köln).
In case a reference does not carry an editorial, the following indication will be inserted in the place where it would correspond: s / e.
For more details see the following examples.

10. Indication of research funding
If the research on which the article is based has been financing, it will be located in a special section, located at the end of the text. That is, the indication should not be made by means of a footnote. Funding references should be brief and clearly identify the institution or funding source using the official name and location of the institution (city and country).

11. Errata
Allpanchis allows the inclusion of misprints of articles already published. For this, it is necessary to have the approval of the Editorial Committee of Allpanchis, either at the initiative of the author (in case it is an article by more than one author, it will be necessary from all authors) or a member of the Editorial Team.
The approval of the inclusion of errata in Allpanchis is only possible in the electronic format of the text. The errata sheet will be added to the end of the article as it was printed, which will not be modified.
