Abstract

A well-known fact, but one that the left often overlooks in its political strategy, is that the essential population of the Andean countries, and of Peru in particular, is the Quechua nationality. No program of national organization, nor the socialist revolution, can be properly undertaken without the decisive participation of this people, the Aymara and the native minorities of the jungle. For the same reason, it is important to study and understand their aspirations, their specific development conditions, their culture and their language.
