Abstract

The work of José María Arguedas, with different emphases, moved between ethnography, anthropological essay and Peruvian ethno-literature. José María, thanks to the narrative, opened a suggestive door for us to think about the Andean world in its ethnodiversity, in its many syncretisms and miscegenations, complementing it with his ethnological essays. This return to José María responds to an unresolved personal concern with literature and anthropology, which, in addition, is projected towards the writer-anthropologist or anthropologist-writer.
