Abstract

The social studies of recent years coincide in pointing out the existence of significant changes in the physiognomy of Peruvian society, changes that are not only affecting the structure of social relations, but are also shaping new patterns of behavior, new values and identities. The bibliography on this is quite extensive. However, a review of the existing studies allows us to see the initial and exploratory nature of the works referring to cultural changes and, more specifically, to the mentalities of Peruvians.
