Abstract

Between January and February 1940, Professor Juan Cavazzana and three young professors from the Catholic University, Domingo García Rada, Guillermo Lohmann Villena, and I, encouraged by the Jesuit Father Rubén Vargas Ugarte, set out on a tour of the Andes of Peru. We leave Lima for Huancayo, Huanta and Ayacucho, by train and car, to then ride one day to Chincheros where we spend the night. The next day we left for Andahuaylas, continuing later to Abancay, Cusco, Puno and Arequipa.
