Abstract

"Who are the young peasants of the Andean South? In what economic, social and political context do we live today? What family, social and cultural matrixes condition our attitudes? What life project do we have?" These are questions that many young people from the countryside have asked themselves in the last two years, forming part of the research project "South Andean youth share their problems and perspectives", a project promoted by the Coordination of Youth Ministry of the Andean Ministry Institute. These lines summarize a small part of the results of said participatory research. They want to be a contribution to the reflection of the young people themselves about their identity.
