Abstract

In the Ocongate ranches, in the Mahuayani sector, lived an indigenous person named Mayta, owner of a good number of Auquenid cattle. His ranch was located in the hollows of the snow-capped Sinakara, at the foot of the majestic snow-capped Qolqepunku, arms of the high and cold crests of Ausangate, where the indomitable and timid shepherd composes his sad huaynos with the sore notes of his qena.
