Abstract

This ceremony takes place on the night of June 23 to 23. Everything needed is prepared well in advance. The cowboy Eulogio Orcón, the shepherd Carlos Cruz, Roberto Castañeda, in charge of milking the cows and making the cheese, are the masters of ceremony. In the main stable the site of the evening is prepared. Logs of firewood are piled up for the qonoy, a bonfire that will serve to heat the environment. The night of San Juan is very cold; They say that the strongest frost falls on this night.
