Abstract

From the zootechnical point of view, livestock is the set of domestic animals to certain exploitation methods in order to take advantage of them. The word livestock is applied the same to express all the animals of a country as the components of a region, or simply those of private property. Until the beginning of the 19th century, cattle raising had had little value. From that time on, livestock became industrialized and ended up constituting one of the most important chapters of the rural economy of the nations.
