Abstract

With increasing insistence, the issue of overcoming poverty has begun to be linked with that of job creation, placing emphasis on anti-poverty social policies that have the increase in employment as their priority axis. As is known, it is in rural areas where an important part of the population living in poverty and extreme poverty is concentrated, which is why the promotion and increase of rural employment becomes a priority, if we want to contribute to the development of these areas and the country as a whole. However, a rural employment proposal must include a set of new trends in the economy of rural areas, especially the Andean ones.
