Abstract

With the present study we address the vision that the peasants of the Andes have about industriousness and idleness. We are going to take two stories as a reference for analysis: the first is a fable about La pericoita del campo and su comadre pito, the second is the myth of an idle son who becomes Qala Runtu (Venus).
