Reflection about man-woman complementarity according to Saint John Paul II

This article aims to reflect on the man-woman complementarity exposed in the personalistic anthropology of Saint John Paul II. In his proposal, com-plementing is understood as the action of granting himself to the other free-ly and in favor of their improvement. Likewise, this implies a series of variables such as love, freedom, reciprocity, and sexual and personal values. To carry out the investigation, various works and documents of the pontiH were consulted, among which Love and Responsibility stands out. In this work, the man-wo-man complementarity is expressed in the biological-sexual and ontological-per-sonal order and highlights the transcendent meaning of human sexuality, as well as its ultimate objective: the anrmation of the person in their integrity.
