Abstract

Peru has rightly been defined as a cultural archipelago, the pluralism of cultures constitutes the defining note of its "national being". José Matos Mar, Augusto Salazar Bondy, Julio Cotler have clarified the characteristics of this pluralism that, being Peruvian, can be extended to a large part of America, through the concept of the absence of full cultural unity.
