Abstract

In a previous article (I) we proposed that one purpose of the Historical Social Sciences subject, within the educational process, was to contribute to the development of an autonomous universe. We had also argued that autonomy implied the capacity for creation and decision. However, through the results of the analysis of didactic material and experiences in rural schools, we question this approach. Rather, we verified that the school fulfilled a function of legitimizing a social order through the deformation of even simple time-space information. In this work we want to continue with the debate presenting concrete experiences within an approach towards an alternative proposal.
