Abstract

The great Peruvianists, and particularly José Carlos Mariátegui, founder of the Peruvian Communist Party and ideologue of the first order, agree in recognizing that the Peruvian national identity is presented in the form of a mosaic, that is, a set of extremely diverse elements, almost divergent , having practically very few ties with each other. In other words, Peru appears as a highly fragmented reality, where it is difficult to put the pieces together. This is clearly verifiable on a historical and political level. The economic reality also reflects these divergences.
