Abstract

On many occasions we have worked on the issue of gender from different perspectives. This time, based on the experience of the Emmaus School of Spiritual Accompaniment, I want to dwell on the implication of identity and gender relations in the practice of spiritual accompaniment. Indeed, in the case of an interrelationship of gendered persons, spiritual accompaniment implies in a privileged way the masculine being and the feminine being that runs through every person, male and female. Since the adventure of accompaniment has ethical, affective, spiritual and theological dimensions at the same time, we will divide our reflection into four phases.
