Abstract

In Antabamba and Aymaraes, when the time for travel arrives from Easter (March-April), the shepherds first perform the previous ceremony of the t'inka of the traveling llamas or orqo llamkuna. In this ceremony of the orqo llama t'inka, one day before the trip, the shepherd offers alcanzo to each apu, that is, he gives offerings to all the important apu that are found along the road along which he has to travel, until he reaches to the town to which it is directed. In this ceremony, they pray with all religious fervor to the apukuna, that nothing bad happen to them during the trip, that the llamas do not get lost, do not get tired or die, that the "llamero" does not get sick either, in short, everything negative that could happen on the trip.
