Abstract

Shortly after the beginning of the new millennium, the problems derived from the use and distribution of land in the department of Puno, located in the southern highlands of Peru, seem to have no solution. In the pages that follow we will try to give an overview of the problems that affect this vast and beautiful region of the Peruvian highlands; beautiful, but also not conducive to the development of agriculture and human life itself. Like many of the most complex problems that affect society, the reality of Puno cannot be understood without looking at its history, full of details in the case of the earth, especially throughout this century.
