- Abstract

What would become of women today without the contraceptive pill? This medication is credited with almost miraculous results, and many women around the world seem to owe their professional success, the elimination of painful menstrual cycles, or clear skin to it. However, this perspective is biased and, to a large extent, fostered by certain feminist movements, which have prevented us from seeing both its negative consequences and the extent of these effects in different spheres of human life.
